Hello everyone. As we draw to the close of the year I wanted to take this opportunity to say thank you to all of you for supporting The Good Kitchen. It is hard to imagine that we only launched the kitchen at the end of June as it feels like we have been here in this beautiful town for many years.
The project is growing in a very natural way and I am so grateful that the people of Mussomeli have taken the kitchen into their hearts. Every week we still have many people of the town donating produce to us. Many elderly people of the town also call past on a regular basis to check in and say hello. This always brings a smile to my face and I am happy that we can provide a place for the elderly people to visit.
Our Sunday lunches have also proved to be very popular and we now have guests arriving from all over Sicily. The lunch provides an opportunity for people of all walks of life to come together and share a meal. We have also been running cooking classes for children of the town that have proved to be very popular indeed.
Leading up to Christmas we also baked 350 biscuits that we distributed to people in the town as as special gift. Next year we will be focussing on reaching more elderly people of the town who maybe alone and who would like a meal cooked for them on a Sunday. Thank you so much to all of you for your support, I am so looking forward to sharing more exciting developments with you all from The Good Kitchen.
